Herzlich willkommen, bienvenue and a hearty welcome..
to all you strangers, who came to see the third incarnation of www.bloomingbridges.co.uk, the official playground of Digital Art & Technology student Florian Brueckner and home of the blooming bridges « over » withering waters visualisation. I hope you will enjoy your stay.
From rags to bridges..
"Way back when I was a child, I always dreamt of becoming an inventor. A person who spends his time in a little chamber, sketching useful little gadgets, which would make life more enjoyable for the whole community."
Meanwhile I've made it to Plymouth (UK) where I pursue a career as a digital artist. I'm convinced that by the time I get my degree I'll have the skills and knowledge to make at least the digital world a better place. One thing is guaranteed, I will never run out of ideas for new exciting projects!
My hobbies include travelling, playing the guitar (mostly Jazz and what most people would classify as "noise"), tea-drinking and collecting, dining out, scrutinizing art galleries and long walks at the sea-side. I am also crazy about penguins!
The blooming bridges metaphor
Il faut cultiver son jardin.. thus I added a new gimmick to this website, which would finally connect the domain name with my online persona. The blooming bridge (, which should scroll sideways at the bottom of the page) is made of my latest twitter followers, my new connections so to speak, whilst beneath the withering waters show the decline of activity from the aforementioned users. See if you can spot yourself and read the full blog entry here if you like.
P.S.: I'd be very grateful for more followers, especially those with screen names shorter than 7 characters.
Oh please, I just can't if somebody is watching..
If you want to gain deeper insights into my life at university and you don't fear cryptic module codes and my horrible writing, feel free to check out my workbooks to your right. Graphics courtesy of Phil.
